Rainbow Bridge

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to the Rainbow Bridge.  There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.  There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.  The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance.  His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers.  Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again.  The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together .........

Pet Urns and Memorials

My pets mean the world to me and as each one has taken their place in my life they become a part of my immediate family. When it has been time for them to cross that Rainbow Bridge, I found that I've got bits of that and pieces of something else, all reminders of my pet's life, laying around, or stacked in a corner or put in a box out of sight.

I've decided to give those special momentos a special place.  I'm making Gourd Pet Memorials.  These memorial containers can either be used for cremains or for that favorite toy, used leash, or marvelous picture.  The containers for cremains are based on  body weight, 1 pound equals 1 cubic inch of volume.  Inside of all containers are lined with your choice of silver, copper, or gold lining.  On the outside of the container will be a photo for your pet plus their dates of birth and crossing over the Rainbow Bridge.  You will need to send a good photo and any extras that you may want to have in or with the container.

The following are some examples.  I want to thank the families of Logan McAuley and Scout Ray.  Logan has gone to the Rainbow Bridge and Scout is kindly being a model.  Smatchey is my little girl that is  waiting for me to near that Rainbow Bridge.
